How to clean carpets?
Release time:2021-11-09
① Regular vacuum cleaning
Invest in a high-quality vacuum cleaner to extract dust from deep carpet fibers, especially if your carpet is fluffy or you have cats and dogs.
Vacuum several times a week. If you have a pet, you may need to smoke it every day.
Don't rush through the vacuum cleaning process. Even high-power vacuum cleaners require time to suck up dust, soil, and hair at the bottom of the carpet fibers. Leave the vacuum cleaner on the carpet more than once to ensure thorough cleanliness.
② Protect the heavy tread area of the carpet
If your carpet extends to the front door, kitchen, or other areas that are frequently passed through, consider using a small carpet or plastic protective mat to protect these areas. This way, you don't need to work hard every day using a vacuum cleaner to remove large chunks of soil and grass roots.
Plastic carpet protectors have an additional benefit, which is that the carpet can be seen clearly through the plastic. This is an inconspicuous method to protect your carpet from dust.
Use aisle carpets in the hallway because there are more people walking in the hallway.
③ Immediately clean up the spilled dirt and stains
Allowing stains to sink into your carpet and air dry will make it harder for you to clean. If you deal with an accident immediately after it happens, you will save a lot of time.
Use a clean cloth or tissue to absorb the overflow, then pour in the fermentation powder in the contaminated area and let it stand for 15 minutes. When the overflow is completely dry, clean it with a vacuum cleaner.
If the spilled liquid is wine or other colored liquid, add a little soda water before sprinkling yeast.
④ Understand the correct methods for removing old stains
Sometimes, it is impossible to remove stains immediately. If you are facing old wine or coffee stains, don't panic; Many carpets are pre treated with anti stain chemicals, so stains are usually not difficult to remove. Spray the dirty area slightly with a spray bottle filled with vinegar, and then wipe it with a cloth. For deeper stains, wet the area with vinegar or carpet cleaner, sprinkle some baking powder, and when the baking powder dries, use a vacuum cleaner to treat it.
Do not attempt to wash away stains from the carpet. Washing can damage fibers, making the stained area look worse.
Do not soak the contaminated area with too much vinegar, water, or other liquids. If it seeps too deeply into the carpet and allows it to dry, it may lead to mold growth.
A mixture of lemon and salt can effectively clean lighter carpets. Focus on repairing areas that require attention to ensure that your carpet does not stain with different colors.
